Vision Himpossible Ministries (VHM) celebrates a milestone as our very first scholar finishes the race with a bachelor’s degree! Gabriel Marcelino graduated from The National College of Business and Arts with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) last year.
Gabriel was one of the first five scholars of Vision Himpossible Ministries. He was just a little wide-eyed boy then. Who would have thought that thirteen years later, he would grow so tall that we would all – literally — look up to him!
After graduation, Gabriel’s love for coffee and the culinary arts landed him a job he enjoys immensely, as a barista at But First, Coffee. He says, “The educational program at VHM taught me a lot of great values such as discipline and trustworthiness. It helped make me the person that I am, especially now that I am working. I make sure to come on time, accept responsibility, and be a team player. I am so grateful for your support.”
Gabriel’s dream?—to own his own coffee shop one day, with a department that teaches people how to make coffee! “I want to be successful so I can also sponsor children receive a good education. I want to pay it forward.” Indeed, this VHM scholar is a fulfillment of a dream that God made possible.
From 5 students in a living room, VHM is now supporting an average of sixty students per school year in three satellite learning centers. Thank you to the TRI family and all the donors who continually support this endeavor. We eagerly look forward to our next batch of graduates, and more. With God all things are possible.
