Last month, our team spread a little extra holiday cheer with Candy Cane Grams – and honestly, it was one of those small things that ended up meaning a whole lot. Employees had the opportunity to purchase candy cane grams for their coworkers, with all proceeds going toward Operation Christmas Child, which made the whole experience even sweeter. The grams were delivered by none other than Santa Claus and the Grinch themselves, bringing laughs, smiles, and full festive energy around the office.

I’ll be honest – I wasn’t expecting to receive any, and that was totally ok. So imagine my surprise when I ended up receiving four. Each one was thoughtful in its own way, but one in particular completely caught me off guard. It was from Ayin, our Marketing Director. We work very closely together day in and day out in the Marketing department. Her message was genuine, kind, and incredibly affirming. It made me feel truly seen and appreciated – and yes, it absolutely made me tear up (in the best way, of course).

Ayin:
The Candy Cane Grams gave me a meaningful chance to express what I truly feel about my colleagues. I poured a lot of emotion into it, and it reminded me how important it is to put feelings into words. When work gets busy and hectic, we rarely pause to acknowledge the people who support us every day. This was a moment to slow down, reflect on what they’ve done for me, and honor that gratitude in writing. In fact, it came so easily that the space provided didn’t feel nearly enough to hold everything I wanted to say. I genuinely enjoyed the experience and felt incredibly blessed to be surrounded by such thoughtful people.
Receiving a Candy Cane Gram was just as special. Being appreciated, being reminded that you are seen, valued, and loved is a powerful feeling. I found myself smiling from ear to ear as I read mine; it warmed my heart and made my appreciation for the people I work with grow deeper.
Antoinette “Netty”:
Receiving the candy grams was a really nice feeling, especially reading everyone’s sentimental messages. It brought me back to high school—those days of receiving candy and carnation grams.
Rodrigo:
I’m very thankful for every single person who gifted me one – I’ve never felt so loved! Receiving the grams made me feel accepted and seen. ❤️ I’m just grateful to be able to make others laugh and put smiles on people’s faces. I truly appreciate everyone for the kind, heartfelt messages they wrote to me – especially the ones I wasn’t expecting. They all made me feel so appreciated and emotional, and each of them will always hold a special place in my heart.
Maritza:
I’m so proud of the idea we brought to life with our Candy Cane Grams Program. Before I even talk about receiving Candy Cane Grams myself, I want to highlight the joy I witnessed in others — that was truly the most special part. Seeing people’s faces light up, watching some get teary-eyed as they read their messages… It was deeply moving. You could feel how meaningful it was for them to be seen and appreciated.
As for me, receiving those kind, loving words was incredibly humbling. Sometimes we don’t realize the impact we have until someone else puts it into words. Reading what others see in me — especially things I don’t always see in myself — made me feel so grateful. The thank-you’s I received in return were just as touching. They made me feel like I had done something right, even in moments when it’s easy to doubt whether you’re doing enough.
Moments like these are such a reminder that it’s not just about the candy canes or the grams themselves – it’s about connection, encouragement, and taking a second to let someone know they matter. That message genuinely made my day and is one I’ll carry with me.
As a faith-centered company, we’re reminded that even the smallest acts of kindness can reflect something much bigger. Supporting Operation Christmas Child, encouraging one another, and choosing to lead with love are all ways we live out our values daily. I’m grateful to work alongside people who reflect Christ’s heart through generosity, compassion, and intention – making our workplace not just a place to work, but a place to feel supported, valued, and uplifted.
“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as you are doing.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:11
