Ok, but tell me why that line immediately plays in my head anytime I think about this topic?

Let’s go, girls! March is Women’s HERstory Month, and when I think about being a woman, that song always comes to mind. Every. Time. It’s just one of those things you can’t fully explain, but you know it when you feel it. When you feel it, you feel empowered.

So I decided to ask a few of my coworkers what makes them feel most like a woman, and their answers were honestly so good.

Ayin shared something she calls her “magic touch,” which I thought was so sweet. She said when her kids aren’t feeling well, sometimes all it takes is a hug or a little massage from her and they start to feel better. That is honestly a real-life superpower. She also mentioned “multitasking,” which feels very on brand for women. We’re doing the dang things, all at once, and somehow we still manage to hold it all together.

Maritza’s answer made me giggle because it was way too real. She said it’s “being able to find something after a man says it’s ‘not there.’” Proof that we just “know things”… no explanation needed.

Kim said her “nightly self-care routine” makes her feel most like a woman, and I love that. Just taking time for skincare, winding down, having that quiet moment for yourself. The “me time” we all deserve. It’s simple, but it hits.

Geolyn’s answer hit different. She said, “It’s coming home after a long day of being a boss babe and letting myself soften. Not because I have to, but because I get to. And having a husband who just gets me? That’s the real luxury.” Honestly, that part made me pause… because isn’t that exactly the kind of balance we’re always chasing? The mix of hustle, confidence, and those little moments where you can just exhale and be fully you.

Antoinette said it’s her “nurturing nature,” which honestly says so much with just a few words. She exudes it everywhere she goes. 

As for me, I honestly feel it most when my intuition is on point. There’s something about that moment of confirmation, like ok, I knew it. There’s a reason why there’s a term for it.
